The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and about 9,000 student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub-Chapters spread all over India and HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who as members of the Society, work on a voluntary basis and are collectively called the Board of Governors.

Aims and Objectives of ISHRAE :

  1. Advancement of the Arts and Sciences of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering and Related Services.
  2. Continuing education of Members and other interested persons in the said sciences through Lectures, Workshops, Product Presentations, Publications and Expositions.
  3. Rendition of career guidance and financial assistance to students of the said sciences.
  4. Encouragement of scientific research.
